SPIE Travel Award: Weibin Chen

Weibin Chen received a SPIE Student Travel Grant to attend the SPIE Photonics West meeting in San Jose in 2009, where he will report recent results on “Direct imaging of surface plasmon excitation with radially polarized beam.”
Webin is Treasurer of the SPIE Student Chapter at UD and he has been honored in the past with a DAGSI grant and best student paper award at the OSA Nanophotonics Topical Conference held in Hangzhou, China. He is working toward a Ph.D. under the mentorship of Dr. Qiwen Zhan.
