"Over the past year, Ben Dapore and Chris Bushmeyer have worked closely with Nick Miller at LOCI. They have been working on classifying and characterizing various cameras for image detection in both the pupil and image plane in a digital holography setup.  This imagining invovled speckle size and speckle averaging.

High School student, Hans Banerjee, son of our EO/ECE faculty member, Partha Banerjee, presents a research paper at Spring APS meeting.

CENTERVILLE — A Centerville High School senior made a foray into a summer work program and emerged as the main author of a scientific paper.
Hans Banerjee, 17, presented the research paper, of which he was first author, to the American Physical Society on March 18 in Portland, Ore. The paper focuses on optical properties of photorefractive crystals, which are electro-optic materials that can be used in specialized scientific, industrial and defense applications.
